October 3: The Pope's visit to Palermo ... ... our pockets are affected
Airlines AMAT modified dual railway lines, roads closed to traffic, the tendering procedures for contracts relating all’organizzazione del soggiorno papale si sono appena concluse e si prevedono spese esorbitanti:
E ancora, senza tetto, precari e disoccupati .
Unfortunately this is not true, it is not necessary, the city does not need it and can not physically cover these costs.
We wonder where they got all those principles bandied about by the Church as poverty, chastity, el'indulgenza?
spend 2 and a half million euro mean about being chaste, poor and indulgent?
The question arises, why has the region when it comes to intervening in matters of primary importance for the welfare of the citizens that there is no money and now, as if by magic, they feel big bucks?
Who pays this?
of Palermo, of course!
This is a waste: in 2010, a company in jeopardy with no respect for humans and the environment, where the company is laid bare, the mere appearance "or you are rich or poor you are, even the church does not care at all of those who are ill but only to celebrate its rich and put into a flowering stage from € 99 000 and deal with policy issues.
In contrast to all these inconveniences, our Deputy Mayor Scoma has promised that in those days the city will be clean .... We should thank him?
We do not care for two days the stench of garbage will be replaced with flowers bought for the occasion, which also will cost us € 13,900, and above all we are not interested since the areas to be cleaned will be always the same: by Liberty, the Politeama, the maximum or the so-called "Palermo well."
Why all this money not being spent to provide services to cities that are left to decay? Why not restructure the streets of these neighborhoods without having to take years and years? Why not pay workers adequately of his friend and maybe even give a few more jobs so that our streets are clean?
But that does not matter, this is the Palermo that the pope will not see!
All this is part of the archaic and bigoted thinking of the city, we are in a continuity with the thought that from 1500 we see a view of prisoners of appearance .... behind the appearance but the city socially, structurally and economically crumbling.
