Il movimento studentesco denominato "l'Onda" che due anni fa ha invaso tutte le piazze dal nord al sud Italia, ha sicuramente smosso le coscienze e creato un precedente per questa generazione dopo vent'anni di buio quasi totale (escluso i primi anni 2000 con le proteste per la riforma Moratti but the mobilization was lower).

Al pari di altre facoltà è assoggettata alle riforme dell'istruzione e legata alle linee guida stabilite dalla Dichiarazione di Bologna ma il titolo acquisito anziché essere riconosciuto come una laurea a tutti gli effetti è un diploma accademico.
Considerato dunque una sottocategoria dell'università, il comparto AFAM nel quadro di produttività suddetto, adesso rischia di essere ulteriormente declassato al comparto scuola contrariamente alle lotte avanzate dagli studenti per l'equivalenza Title.

Non è un coordinamento studentista e intende la lotta degli studenti all'interno della lotta di classe in atto;
Non è legato solo al territorio locale ma ha una visione nazionale e internazionale riguardo le esperienze simili attuate in altre nazioni;
